APUS Creates New Resource Portal for Graduate Studies

American Public University System is pleased to announce the launch of the new Center for Graduate Studies (CGS). The CGS, which went live on Monday, March 31, 2008, will introduce newly registered graduate students (and existing graduate students) to university officials, deans, graduate program directors, university policies and procedures, scholarship and research guidelines, and links to a variety of graduate student resources.   

The CGS includes a “check your understanding” activity that allows new graduate students to search through various university publications, policies, and Web pages; giving them a better understanding of these important resources before starting their first graduate course. Throughout the rest of 2008, the University also plans to add “how-to” files and vignettes to assist students with certain classroom functions.

The CGS portal is a secure site and will be accessible by logging in as a student and then clicking the link that reads "Center for Graduate Studies" found under "Resources".
