Why are an institution's memberships and affiliations with the community important to students?
As an institution, APUS embraces and supports lifelong learning for its students, staff, and faculty. It is our belief that membership and affiliation with organizations within our community help to ensure that :
APUS belongs to numerous organizations. A partial list is below.
ConAp
AMU is a member institution in the Army’s Concurrent Application (ConAp) program, whereby new recruits may apply for admission concurrent with their enlistment contract to begin their college record before entering basic training.
Association of the United States Army (AUSA)
APUS a sustaining member of Association of the United States Army National Headquarters and a corporate member of AUSA’s George Washington Chapter. AUSA is the most effective lobbying agency for soldiers and their family members.
National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA)
The National Defense Transportation Association is a non-profit, professional and educational association dedicated to fostering a strong and efficient transportation system in support of national defense. The organization has served as the link between government and industry executives on transportation and related matters for the past 55 years. AMU is a Sustaining Member.
Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC)
AMU has been a member of SOC since 1997. As such the University System strives to embrace the principles set forth by SOC and to strengthen and coordinate the higher education opportunities available to U.S. Servicemembers.
