The American Public University System Office of Alumni Relations seeks to develop life-long partnerships with the System’s alumni by offering programs and services that endeavor to build community, enhance alumni professional and educational advancement, and promote collaboration among all APUS constituents. The Director of Alumni Relations and Career Services provides executive oversight for the Office of Alumni Relations. The Alumni Relations Manager provides daily operational guidance for the Office and serves as a key liaison between APUS and the alumni. Alumni Relations Benefits and Services
APUS alumni are supported by the Office of Alumni Relations. Alumni receive benefits that enable them to stay in contact with one another and the University. Some of the services offered by Alumni Relations include e-newsletters, online social networking, class rings, campus store, mentor/mentee program, lifetime access to University's Online Library and access to online job boards containing numerous employment opportunities. As a benefit to APUS alumni, Alumni Relations can help locate APUS community members (e.g. graduate, faculty, former student, staff), retrieve student account information, and process requests for transcripts. The APUS Career Center is available to help support alumni with meaningful and relevant services throughout their professional careers. The Career Center contains an extensive library of resources covering a wide range of topics. Many of these resources include insider company information, advice, career management services for job seekers and those preparing for a career transition. There are also downloadable guides containing industry profiles, career guides, employer profiles and resume tips. In order to access these resources alumni must log in, go to the APUS Online Library and select Alumni Relations, then select Career Center (located at the top of the page).
