Mr. F. David Fowler
Member, Board of Directors
David Fowler was dean of the School of Business of The George Washington University, Washington D.C., from 1992 until 1997. The School had more than 120 members of the faculty and offered graduate and undergraduate programs for more than 3000 students. The Economic Club of Washington D.C. recognized him as Educator of the Year in 1995.
Mr. Fowler was a member of the firm of KPMG from 1963 until his retirement in 1992. He served as managing partner of the Washington D.C. office from 1987 to 1992. He was the partner in charge of human resources in New York City from 1982 to 1987. While there, he served on the firm’s Board of Directors and the Operating and Strategic Planning committees. He also served as chairman of the KPMG Foundation and the International Personnel committee. Prior to his assignment in New York, he was the managing partner of offices in Honolulu, Hawaii and Jackson, Mississippi.
Mr. Fowler currently serves on the Board of Directors and is chairman of the Audit Committee of Liquidity Services, Inc. He recently completed service as a member of the Board of Directors and chairman of the Audit Committee of MicroStrategy, Inc. and as a member and chairman of the Board of Directors of the FBR mutual fund group.
Mr. Fowler has extensive experience serving on the boards of civic and not-for-profit organizations such as the Federal City Council, National Symphony Orchestra, Corcoran Gallery of Art, YMCA of Greater Washington, WETA, and the Greater Washington Research Center, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
