Mr. Timothy Weglicki
Member, Board of Directors

Tim Weglicki joined ABS Capital Partners in 1993 as a founding partner. In addition to American Public Education, Inc., he serves as a board member of ABS portfolio companies Brandywine Senior Care, Inc., The Cobalt Group, Inc. and Workscape, Inc., as well as an observer on the board of NeuStar, Inc.

Before joining ABS, Mr. Weglicki spent 16 years with Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated, where he founded and headed the firm’s Capital Markets Group from 1989 to 1993.  While in this role, he had some 500 people reporting to him and responsibility for $300 million in revenues.  Prior to that position, he led the firm's Equity and Investment Banking Divisions.  Mr. Weglicki started his career at Alex. Brown in 1977 as an investment banker in the firm’s health care practice.

In addition to his Board duties on behalf of ABS portfolio companies, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Coventry Health Care, Inc. (NYSE: CVH).  He has previously served on the Boards of US Healthcare, Inc. (now Aetna, Inc.; NYSE: AET), ElderTrust (NYSE: ETT), a real estate investment trust that invests primarily in assisted living and long-term care facilities, Meridian Health Corporation, a senior care provider that was acquired by Genesis Health Ventures, Inc. (NYSE: GHV).  He is member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of The Johns Hopkins University’s Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, is a member of the Parent’s Committee of Denison University and is a trustee of Garrison Forest School.

Mr. Weglicki holds a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
