Anne Arundel Community College

It is the student's responsibility to alert APUS that s/he may fall under a current Articulation Agreement by emailing his/her Student ID and the name of the Articulation Agreement to articulations@apus.edu.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate students must be pursuing one of the following programs at the University and are eligible for up to 90 transfer credits:

  • BA in Legal Studies
  • BA in Homeland Security
  • BS in Fire Science Management
  • BA in Sociology
  • BA in Criminal Justice
  • Bachelor of Business Administration
  • BA in Management

Guidelines:

  • A student has met the terms of the agreement and is eligible for possible Transfer Credit Evaluation review if they completed the specific initial degree at Anne Arundel CC AFTER December 1, 2006 and they have not yet had an Initial TCE completed.  
  • If an initial evaluation has already been prepared and the student completed the specific degree from Anne Arundel CC AFTER May 9, 2007, they can send in the updated paperwork.  A TCE Update Request Form must also be submitted to initiate the review process.  
  • If a student changes their degree program AFTER May 9, 2007, they are eligible for a review of their Anne Arundel CC degree for possible transfer credit as long as the degree was completed at Anne Arundel CC AFTER the effective date listed in the agreement.  
  • If a student has already had an Initial TCE completed and their documentation has already been reviewed and no additional paperwork is to be submitted, they are NOT eligible for the agreement terms.

A student must have completed any one of the following degree programs at Anne Arundel CC and must have maintained a cumulative 2.0 grade point average or higher in order for transfer.  A sealed official transcript must be sent in order to detail the degree conferral and in accordance to the terms of the agreement:

  • AA in Law and Jurisprudence
  • AAS in Homeland Security Management
  • AAS in Business Management - Fire Management Option
  • AAS in Law Enforcement and Criminal Social Justice Option
  • AAS in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Police Academy Option
  • AS in Business Administration

Please note:

For those students who are not pursuing one of these programs or have taken a course outside the dates, we are required to follow the American Council on Education (ACE) recommendations for awarding transfer credit.  Credit must be evaluated by ACE and recommended for Undergraduate level credit in order to possibly apply towards an Undergraduate degree program at APUS.
