Grossmont College

It is the student's responsibility to alert APUS that s/he may fall under a current Articulation Agreement by emailing his/her Student ID and the name of the Articulation Agreement to articulations@apus.edu.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate students must be pursuing one of the following programs at the University:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice - General Program concentration
  • Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice - Forensics concentration (for Forensics program from Grossmont only)

Guidelines:

  • A student has met the terms of the agreement and is eligible for possible Transfer Credit Evaluation review if they completed the specific initial degrees at Grossmont College AFTER March 1, 2008 and they have not yet had an Initial TCE completed.
  • If an initial evaluation has already been prepared and the student completed the specific degrees from Grossmont College AFTER March 1, 2008, they can send in the updated paperwork.  A TCE Update Request Form must also be submitted to initiate the review process.
  • If a student changes their degree program AFTER March 1, 2008, they are eligible for a review of their Grossmont College courses for possible transfer credit as long as the degree was completed at Grossmont College AFTER the effective date listed in the agreement.
  • If a student has already had an Initial TCE completed and their documentation has already been reviewed and no additional paperwork is to be submitted, they are NOT eligible for the agreement terms.
This Articulation Agreement allows for a MINIMUM of 51 semester hours, assuming all courses from the school have been completed with a grade of ‘C’ or better.  Other college credit from different sources, including credit transferred into the Associates Degree, will be reviewed on a course-by-course basis.  Students wishing to take part in this Articulation must send in an official Grossmont College transcript showing completion of one of the following degrees after March 1, 2008:

  • AS – AOJ (emphasis in Corrections)
  • AS – AOJ (emphasis in Law Enforcement)
  • AS – AOJ (emphasis in Legal Systems & Court Management)
  • AS – AOJ (emphasis in Forensic Technology)

Please note:

For those students who are not pursuing one of these programs or have taken a course outside the dates, we are required to follow the American Council on Education (ACE) recommendations for awarding transfer credit.  Credit must be evaluated by ACE and recommended for Undergraduate level credit in order to possibly apply towards an Undergraduate degree program at APUS.
