Inter-American Defense College (IADC)
It is the student's responsibility to alert APUS that s/he may fall under a current Internal Recommendation policy by emailing his/her Student ID and the name of the Internal Recommendation to articulations@apus.edu.
Eligibility:
Graduate students must be pursuing one of the following programs at the University (maximum semester hours of transfer credit from this internal policy):
- Any graduate level degree program (15 SH)
Students may maximize transfer credit from this internal policy by pursuing the following program:
- Master of Arts in International Relations and Conflict Resolution with a concentration in Conflict Resolution
Guidelines:
- A student has met the terms of the agreement and is eligible for possible Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE) review if they graduated from the Inter-American Defense College (IADC) and they have not yet had an Initial TCE completed.
- If an Initial TCE has already been prepared and the student graduated from the IADC after the official evaluation was completed, they can send in the updated paperwork. A TCE Update Request Form must also be submitted to initiate the review process.
- If a student changes their degree program, they are eligible for a review of their IADC transcript for possible transfer credit.
- If a student has already had an Initial TCE completed, their documentation has already been reviewed, and no additional paperwork is to be submitted, they are NOT eligible for this internal policy.
Students must send in their OFFICIAL IADC transcript along with a TCE Application. Documentation of successful completion may make a student eligible for the following transfer credit recommendations depending on their specific degree program requirements:

| *Transfer credit may be awarded toward the Core requirements for the APUS Research Methods course in most degree programs, and the specific course number awarded will vary based on the student's selected degree program. Transfer credit will NOT be awarded to those degrees requiring EDUC640, HIST500, HIST501, or ITCC500. | |

This Internal Recommendation policy is valid for the programs listed which may be reviewed each catalog year and credit recommendations may change if the programs or internal recommendation policies are altered and/or re-evaluated.
