Ms. Karen Srba heads a team of eLearning professionals who design interactive learning content and implement technological strategy for thousands of online courses. She is also the university liaison on all IT-related projects and leads the President’s Project Management Office.
Ms. Srba has over 28 years of experience in systems integration, information security, project management, and education. Prior to joining APUS she served as a subject matter expert in project management for the Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy and was a STEM Innovation Lead and online instructor in computer science and engineering for Frederick County Public Schools. In addition, Ms. Srba served as a Government Practice Lead and contract manager for over 18 years as a contractor for the federal government.
Ms. Srba earned her master’s degree in Distance Education Leadership and eLearning Technology from the University of Maryland University College, and an undergraduate degree in Management and Technology from the University of Maryland. She also earned several certificates in project management, computer science, engineering, and education. Currently, Ms. Srba is working on her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and is a certified project manager.
