Synopsis of Role:

Conceptualizes and develops creative solutions for a variety of mediums to support the organization’s promotional and branding efforts. This candidate must have the ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Essential Functions:
  • Works with internal clients and, where appropriate, external resources, creating designs for high-impact marketing tools, to include:  print and digital advertisements, brochures, flyers, posters, direct mail and e-mail pieces, and HTML pages. Incumbent will be guided by instruction and pre-established brand guidelines.
  • Creates template designs for Web site landing pages and builds interactive design tools for use in online advertising and other interactive projects/campaigns.
  • Identifies opportunities to incorporate new design elements into marketing tools, based on business objectives, user feedback, reporting analysis, industry trends, etc. to successfully implement a high-impact, customer-focused marketing strategy.
  • Works with outside design and photography/videography vendors when appropriate on projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Critical Skills and Job Complexity:
  • Proficient in latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite applications, particularly Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Demonstrated intermediary skill in Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver.
  • Strong detail and process orientation as well as precision and consistency with brand and style identity.
  • Ability and confidence to present ideas and concepts to a variety of internal clients and departments, incorporate multiple ideas and develop consensus.
  • Ability to operate independently while contributing in a collaborative environment to drive multiple projects forward in accordance with deadlines.
  • Ability to drive creativity within a brand.
  • Strong client orientation.
  • Solid problem solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of optimization and production of art assets for the Web.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree with graphic design concentration or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2 or more years design experience, including a balance of work within new media and traditional applications.
  • Client and vendor contact experience required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Incumbent will have the opportunity to telecommute on an occasional basis (as projects and meetings allow).
