History & Military Studies:

The Department of History and Military Studies invites applications for an assistant professorship in American History. All applications will be considered, but special attention will be given to those able to offer courses in the American Revolution, Jacksonian Democracy, Civil War, and 20th Century America. Must be able to teach the American Survey courses. Preference will be given to those who can also contribute to one or more interdisciplinary programs, which include Military History and Military Studies. Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred, but qualified ABDs will be considered.

The Department of History and Military Studies invites applications for an assistant professorship in Military History. All applications will be considered, but special attention will be given to those able to offer courses in 20th and 21st century warfare. Must be able to teach the Military History Survey courses. Preference will be given to those who can also contribute to one or more interdisciplinary programs, which include History and Military Studies. Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred, but qualified ABDs will be considered.

Information Technology:

The Information Technology Department welcomes resumes for - faculty positions in various areas, including: systems analysis and design, web application development, database systems, object-oriented programming, systems analysis, IT project management, information assurance, network security, data communications, and local area networks. Persons applying should be proficient in one or more of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, PhP, MySQL, VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, Microsoft Access, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. Minimum requirements for candidates are: a Master’s Degree, two years experience in the IT field, and a commitment to help our students succeed. Ph.D. is a plus.

Literature and Humanities:

The Department of Literature and Humanities welcomes resumes for online faculty positions in the following areas:

  • Freshman English Composition, including punctuation, grammar, composition, and critical reading and writing.
  • Beginning and intermediate foreign languages using RosettaStone Internet materials:
    - Arabic
    - Chinese (Mandarin)
    - French
    - Russian
    - Spanish
    - ESL
  • Humanities, based on The Great Books, and interdisciplinary in nature:
    - Classical literature, history, philosophy and science
    - Medieval literature, history, philosophy and science
    - Renaissance literature, history, philosophy and science

    - Modern and contemporary literature, history, philosophy and science

National Security, Intelligence & Space Studies:

The School of Professional Studies invites applicants for positions in the Public Health program. A minimum of a Master’s degree is required for positions at the undergraduate level. A PhD is required to teach at the graduate level (ABDs will be considered).  Teaching experience is preferred.

The Department of Homeland Security, Transportation and Logistics Management invites applicants for positions in the Transportation and Logistics program.  A minimum of a Master’s degree is required for positions at the undergraduate level. A PhD is required to teach at the graduate level (ABDs will be considered). Special attention will be given to those with practitioner experience in transportation or logistics. Teaching experience is preferred.

The Department of Homeland Security, Transportation and Logistics Management invites applicants for positions in the Homeland Security program.  A minimum of a Master’s degree is required for positions at the undergraduate level. A PhD is required to teach at the graduate level (ABDs will be considered). Special attention will be given to those with practitioner experience in homeland security related areas. Teaching experience is preferred.

The Department of Homeland Security, Transportation and Logistics Management invites applications for positions in the Disaster and Emergency Management program.  In addition to teaching, faculty will assist in curriculum and program development, student mentoring, and engage in professional development activities. A master's degree in a discipline related to disaster and crisis management is required, with a doctorate preferred.  Doctorate and ABD-candidate faculty will teach up to the graduate level.  Candidates with a Master’s degree and who have certain professional experience and emergency management credentials may also teach at the graduate level, but will generally teach at the undergraduate level.  Candidates must have experience related to disaster operations, emergency planning, mitigation, and training.  Preferred qualifications include certification as a Certified Emergency Manager and/or Certified Business Continuity Professional.  Applicants must also complete FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute Professional Development Series (PDS), consisting of seven independent study courses within one year of the appointment. 

The Department of Intelligence Studies invites applications for an assistant professorship in Intelligence Studies. All applications will be considered, but special attention will be given to those who have practitioner expertise in the intelligence communities of the USA, UK, Canada or Australia. Ph.D. in a related field is required, teaching experience is preferred and qualified ABDs will be considered.

The Department of National Security Studies invites applications for an assistant professorship in National Security Studies. All applications will be considered, but special attention will be given to those who have practitioner expertise in the national security of the USA. Ph.D. in a related field is required, teaching experience is preferred and qualified ABDs will be considered.


Social Behavioral & Cultural Studies:

The Department of Arts & Sciences invites applicants for English Composition, Mathematics, Sociology and Science positions in the General Education program. A minimum of a Master’s degree is required for all positions and teaching experience in post-secondary education is preferred. English Composition applicants should have experience teaching different levels of college composition. Math instructors should be able to teach Basic College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus. Biology, chemistry, physics, and oceanography are specific areas of interest for science applicants.
