Student Records Document Imaging Specialist

Synopsis of Role:
- Maintain scanner/indexing queues.
- Maintain scanner stations.
- Maintain student records.
Essential Functions:
- Sort department mail.
- Index and scan virtual documents.
- Process backfile conversion files.
- File non-virtual documents and files as needed.
- Participate in Student Records team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Critical Skills and Job Complexity:
- Knowledge of student file actions.
- Ability to conduct file research.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to learn new skills associated with modernization of file processes.
- Ability to solve problems at work level.
- Detail orientation.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Prior office experience required.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
- Prior scanning experience desired; preferably with Hyland/Onbase systems.
- Some college preferred.
- Prior academic administration experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Standard office environment in Manassas, VA.
- Must be able to lift files and boxes weighing 30 – 40 pounds.
