Synopsis of Role:
APUS is seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong project management, technical, business and personal leadership skills to lead our migration from one Learning Management System (LMS) to another.
Essential Functions:
- Leads migration from one LMS to another.
- Partners across the University to ensure the current LMS continues to serve students and faculty while facilitating a seamless transition to the use of a new LMS.
- Collaborates with several departments to include: Information Technology, Instructional Design, Academics, Student Services and Finance to ensure that the LMS is fully integrated and operating in synch with other University ERPs.
- Uses strong analytical and leadership skills to interpret customer requirements, develop business solutions, provide team guidance and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years as a Project Manager with recent experience migrating at least 2 Learning Management Systems, preferably for a high growth, online 24x7 education or service business.
- Specialty expertise in two or more of the following technical areas:
- ERP implementation and migration
- Instructional technology
- Business Intelligence/data warehousing
- Administrative systems design and development (preferably in Higher Education)
- Production support
- Administration, configuration and design of Learning Management Systems
- Report design and development
- Contribution to one or more open source projects.
- Experience with information security vulnerabilities and risk management.
- Experience developing and executing overall data migration strategies and approaches, data analysis, data migration design and data transformation.
- Experience in business process development, management, budgeting, resource allocation and administrative operations.
- Demonstrated success partnering across business functions to drive project implementation.
- Experience leading in a high-performance, customer-centric culture focused on service, innovation, efficiency and productivity.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Standard office environment in Charles Town, WV.
- Must be willing to travel within 75 miles to co-locations.
