Senior Interactive Marketing Coordinator

Synopsis of Role:
Responsible for assisting with the management of interactive marketing campaigns and their execution, including projects in the following areas: social media, the University’s Web presence, Google Analytics, buzz monitoring, content creation, and marketing campaigns geared towards increasing enrollment and increasing awareness.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with the execution of the social media strategy, including building out and maintaining the University’s presence on a variety of social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, Twitter, iTunes, and YouTube.
- Assist with the execution of various enhancements to the public Web sites, supporting multiple departments throughout the University.
- Maintain the Google Analytics system and provide proactive analysis regarding Web properties, traffic and pertinent business metrics.
- Create content for our various Web properties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Critical Skills and Job Complexity:
- Advanced usage of Google Analytics.
- Strong reporting and analysis background.
- Ability to analyze data for trends, anomalies and patterns and make sound recommendations for adjusting campaigns in response to these.
- Understanding of Web site design and usability principles; and Internet marketing concepts, practices, standards, and regulations.
- Strong understanding and experience managing social networks and leveraging them for marketing purposes.
- Experience with project management and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong computer skills, including intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience with Content Management Systems.
- Experience with writing for the Web.
- Strong Web layout and design skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Information Systems required.
- 3-5 years experience with interactive marketing campaigns required.
- Demonstrated professional (non-academic) experience with managing marketing initiatives on the Web for social media, lead generation, branding, awareness and user experience.
- At least one year of Google Analytics experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Standard office environment in Manassas, VA.
- This full-time position will require five days a week in the office, with little to no travel outside of the metro region.
