Dr. Linda Moynihan - Vice President, Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities

Linda MoynihanDr. Linda Moynihan began teaching English courses for APUS in November 2001 and became the Department Chair for the Liberal Arts programs offered by APUS in February 2002. In 2007, Dr. Moynihan was appointed Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities.  

She has taught writing and composition at the Lord Fairfax Community College campuses in Middletown and in Warrenton, VA. Previously, she taught writing and composition as well as a variety of literature courses at Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, FL.  Prior to teaching in Florida, Dr. Moynihan taught at Miami University in Oxford, OH, for nine years and at SUNY Fredonia, Fredonia, NY, for one year.

Dr. Moynihan completed her M.A. in English Literature at SUNY Fredonia in 1990, and she received her Ph.D. in English Literature from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, in 1996. The title of her dissertation is "I Am Not That I Play": Fashioning the Role, Creating a Self on the Renaissance Stage."
