Whether at a brick-and-mortar or an online school, veterans often find it difficult to connect with their non-veteran peers,” said Joshua Jones, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and an AMU student pursuing a master’s degree in emergency and disaster management. American Military University (AMU) recently launched a new Virtual Veterans Center (VVC), an online information resource, repository of support services, and gathering place for veteran and active-duty students and alumni.
