AMU Announces Expanded Academic Partnership with Loss Prevention Foundation
Charles Town, WV, June 10, 2013 – American Military University (AMU) and the Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) today announced an expansion of the partnership between the two organizations that aligns AMU’s fully-online degree programs with LPF’s LPQualified (LPQ) and LPCertified (LPC) certifications.
Certification holders are eligible to receive credit through AMU’s transfer credit evaluation process; the process awards students credit for college-equivalent prior learning, allowing them to complete a degree program in less time. Loss prevention professionals can apply the credits toward undergraduate degrees in security management, criminal justice, retail management, logistics, or any of the affordable, quality online undergraduate degree programs offered by AMU.
AMU retail management academic program director Kevin Forehand notes, “This is a key partnership given the importance of loss prevention in the retail industry.”

LPF's two certifications lead the loss prevention industry in name recognition, quality, and career enhancement, according to LPF President Gene Smith, LPC. LPQ was designed for entry-level professionals, while LPC covers advanced material for individuals in management.
