The accreditation of APUS programs by ACBSP provides a quality ranking earned by the programs. APUS undergraduate programs have also been named to U.S. News & World Report’s annual qualitative ranking of top online degree programs.

ACBSP’s mission is to establish, promote, and recognize educational practices that contribute to the continuous quality improvement of business education programs, teaching of business courses, and student learning outcomes in colleges and universities throughout the US and abroad.

APUS previously received ACBSP accreditation on April 17, 2011 for its AS Accounting, AA Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, and BA Marketing programs. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) also includes American Public University among the schools that align with the SHRM human resources curriculum guidelines.
