Virtual Open Houses

Join us each week for a series of live, interactive presentations covering topics such as "exploring the online classroom" and "understanding financial aid" as well as programs sponsored by various academic departments so you can learn more about pursuing your degree at APU and AMU. Additional Special Events cover a wide variety of academic and special interest topics including current events, career advice, online learning, research, and more. Examples include "Principles of Criminal Investigative Analysis (CIA): Understanding and Combating the Criminal Mind", "The Battle of Gettysburg", and "Life in Space".

Criminal Justice
From local, state, and federal positions within the criminal justice community to international consulting opportunities, criminal justice professionals are in high demand across the globe. Join us for an overview of the Criminal Justice program at APUS, as representatives from the department discuss courses and opportunities available for prospective students, as well as field your questions. Prospective students interested in careers in law enforcement, homeland security, and forensics at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as positions in analysis and consulting should attend this open house.

Master of Education
For teachers already in the classroom, APUS offers a diverse group of M.Ed. programs, including: Administration & Supervision, Guidance & Counseling, Instructional Leadership (with an adult education component available), Special Education, and much more.
With elementary and secondary enrollment at record levels the projected increase of eight percent by 2018 is a big boost for those in education field. In that time K-12 and adult teaching, counseling, and administration positions will be readily available for highly qualified candidates. Environmental Studies
Environmental issues are critical to our survival on this planet. One look at today’s headlines and it is clear that environmental careers are in high demand. Environmental jobs can be challenging simply because of the scope and complexity of most environmental problems, but are also some of the most rewarding careers you will find. Choosing a degree path in the environmental field opens doors to many different options, from Park Ranger to Environmental Planner, Fish and Wildlife Biologist to Environmental Manager. With our new courses and concentrations in environmental sustainability, many “green” jobs are also possible. Most of our students find employment in local, state, and federal government, non-profit organizations, and consultancies. History
To understand where we’re going, we need to know where we’ve been. A basic understanding of the foundations for events, humanity, and laws is essential in today’s world. With a degree in History or Military History you can discover the world in which you live in a new perspective. There are endless career possibilities in this field, ranging from teaching, to museum-work, research and libraries.
