“Cybersecurity is a diverse field,” said Daniel Benjamin, dean of the School of Science, Technology, Education and Math for American Public University System (APUS). Benjamin has more than 15 years of experience providing information technology and information management education and consulting solutions in the public and private sectors. His past clients include the White House, the US Senate, the Department of Defense, Department of Treasury, Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Education.
“It is so important that graduates have a good understanding of the laws and regulations and the ethical implications of their roles,” said Richard Pera, the dean of the APUS School of Security and Global Studies at APUS. Pera was most recently the director of the Defense Intelligence Resource Management Office of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Washington, DC, and spent more than 30 years in naval intelligence.
