The following email Q&A is with Clay Wilson, cybersecurity program director at the American Public University System. Student information security has risen to become one of the leading areas of concern for postsecondary tech leaders. Security breaches are on the rise in the higher education space, and they’re becoming increasingly dangerous as more and more administrative processes are taking place online. In this interview, Wilson discusses the importance of cybersecurity for today’s postsecondary leaders and shares his thoughts on some of the strategies that can be put into place to minimize the risk.
