APUS to Celebrate Academic Center Grand Opening with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
American Public University System (APUS) will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new, energy-efficient academic center in historic Charles Town, West Virginia. The new 45,000 square foot, environmentally-friendly facility will serve as office and meeting space for approximately 140 faculty and staff supporting more than 75,000 online students worldwide.

APUS President & CEO Dr. Wallace E. Boston, will discuss the new building’s environmentally-friendly design and the positive impact of the university’s activities on the various communities it serves. Following the ceremony, a guided tour of the new academic center and other APUS facilities will be open to invited guests and members of the media. In addition, members of the Charles Town and Ranson community are welcome to visit the Academic Center Open House between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on November 18, 2010.
