Alpha Phi Sigma 2010 Officers Announced
The Kappa Kappa Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, Criminal Justice Honor Society, is excited to announce the election results of the new chapter officers that will lead the chapter throughout 2010. The following officers were selected to lead the criminal justice honor society throughout 2010: 

President: Abdul Abid
Vice President: Rudolph Tinker
Secretary: Heidi Alvestad
Treasurer: Danielle Fergus

1,200 APUS Students Join Golden Key
Over 1,200 APUS students accepted an invitation to join the prestigious Golden Key International Honour Society during the fall invitation period. Golden Key invites only the top 15% of the student body to join Golden Key each year. Golden Key members enjoy many significant and substantial benefits. Among these include opportunities for scholarships and networking with others. Golden Key offers more than $400,000 in scholarships annually to its members.

Professor Emeritus Joseph Scanlon speaks to AMU/APU Students
On January 12, 2010, the IAEM Student Chapter of American Public University System was greatly honored to host a speaking engagement with Professor Emeritus Joseph Scanlon on the topic: "The Handling of Mass Death.” Read the IAEM Press Release

International Relations Honor Society to host guest speaker.
On January 30, 2010 the Gamma Omega chapter of Sigma Iota Rho will host its first ever guest speaker lecture. Siavash Sartipi, an Iranian dissident living in exile will speak about “Iran in Crisis.” Read the SIR GO Press Release.

APUS is excited to announce that we are looking to develop a university mascot and are requesting your assistance to jump start our search! What do you think best represents our University? Do you envision a mascot with human characteristics or do you think an animal best fits our image?  Do you envision one mascot that represents both AMU and APU or two separate mascots that enhance the differences among our AMU and APU students? Check out the APUS Marketing Department's Mascot Web site!

Global Mentor Network Reaches Milestone
The Global Mentor Network recently has reached over 1,000 students and alumni participants in the mentoring program. The network is now comprised of 328 Mentors and 673 Mentees. Interested in participating, click here.
