About the Faculty
Dr. Don T. Sine received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and master’s degrees from California State University and George Washington University. He received a doctorate in History from the University of Maryland. Dr. Sine served twenty-seven years of active duty with the U.S. Navy. He has taught naval, military, and U.S. History at the U. S. Naval Academy and four community colleges for thirty-five years. He has published articles and books, presented numerous papers to learned societies and professional organizations, and appeared on PBS, FOX News, and the BBC as an expert on military history. He has lectured at the Naval War College, Sanhurst and Dartmouth in England. Dr. Sine is the Vice President of Dickieson Projects. He lives with his wife, Jan, in Encinitas, California.
