About the Faculty

The AMU Sports Management faculty brings both real-world experience and advanced academic knowledge to the AMU Sports Management program. Many currently work in the sports management industry at the professional level or have had Olympic or professional sports careers.

Dr. Bud Hollowell played on the 1964 Olympic Baseball Team in Tokyo, Japan; was MVP at the College Worlds Series in 1963 and a college All American catcher at University of Southern California. From 1964-71, he played and coached in the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Organization. In addition to teaching with American Military University, he is Area Chair of Philosophy and Religion at Florida University. Mr. Hollowell holds a Ph.D., master of arts and a bachelor of science in physical education from the University of Southern California. Hollowell is an adjunct faculty member within the Department of Management at American Military University where he currently teaches undergraduate courses in management — sports medicine and sports & drugs.
