Lieutenant General Thomas L. Conant

Tom Conant is the Vice President, Marine Corps Programs, in the Government Affairs Office of Lockheed Martin Corporation. He retired from the United States Marine Corps with 43 years of service in August 2014 as a Lieutenant General and his last active duty billet was the Deputy Commander, United States Pacific Command.

Tom is responsible for being the focal point for all Marine Corps Programs. Prior to this assignment, he was the Owner/Founder of TLC Consulting, LLC where he supported clients in the defense industry with a focus in the Asia Pacific region.

Tom serves on the Board of Trustees for American Public University System, Board of Advisors for the Pacific Aviation Museum, and Board of Advisors for Peace Winds America.

Designated a Naval Aviator in September, 1976, Tom served as an AH-1 Attack Helicopter Pilot throughout his career. He saw duties in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Marine Aircraft Wings. Tom served as Commanding Officer Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 167 and Marine Aircraft Group 36. As a General Officer he commanded Marine Corps Training Command and 3D Marine Aircraft Wing.

Tom is a graduate of Central Michigan University (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) and American Military University, with honors, (Masters in Defense Studies, Program and Acquisition Management).
