Always Ready: What Service Members Can Teach Civilians About Preparing for Disasters

One thing the military has taught and ingrained in us is the concept of readiness.  Being worldwide mobility- qualified means that we understand what it means to “grab and go.” All of our vaccinations are up- to- date, our mobility bags are packed, weapons and ammunition are ready to be issued in the armory, and, finally, contingency plans are ready to implement.
