Program Philosophy

The doctoral program is designed for working, adult students to complete the program within the cohort model. During the coursework phase of the program, you will take 7 credit hours per 16-week term, which includes two 8-week courses (3 credits each) and one 16-week course (1 credit). Time commitment for doctoral studies is expected to be at least 15-20 hours per week. During the dissertation phase, after completion of all other coursework, registration will consist of one credit of continuing registration in DOCT899 until the dissertation has been defended.
