Program Learning Outcomes

At American Military University and American Public University, we utilize a systematic, evidence-based approach to ensure our academic programs meet the highest standards of excellence. We identify Signature Assignments within each program and measure success by the percentage of student artifacts meeting our rigorous criteria. Currently, our programmatic goals seek to have at least 70% of these artifacts demonstrate proficient or exemplary achievement of their respective Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs). These data points serve as a diagnostic tool; when outcomes deviate from these benchmarks, it triggers a collaborative review process. By examining the alignment between our instructional methodologies and the evolving needs of the field, we proactively refine our curriculum to ensure graduates remain competitive and highly skilled.

Learning Outcomes Assessment: Peregrine General Education

Undergraduate students at American Military University and American Public University are required to participate in our national testing initiative as they near degree completion.  This involves completion of the Peregrine general education (PGE) assessment.  This initiative enables us to evaluate and inform teaching and learning, as well as benchmark our programs. Data visualizations are available, showing overall PGE results.

End of Program Survey

Student satisfaction is extremely important at American Military University and American Public University. Students are asked to complete a survey at the conclusion of their program to give insight on their experience. An interactive dashboard is available, that can be filtered by program, showing all End of Program survey results.
